Riyadh College of Dentistry and Pharmacy follows the general rules, regulations and guidelines prescribed by the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kingdom. There are in addition RCDP regulations pertaining to early and late registration, adding and dropping of courses, withdrawal from the program, attendance or lectures, examination and gradings, cancellation of enrollment, financial aids, research protocol approval, thesis presentation and research. An MSD student should be familiar with all these general and specific rules and regulations, many of which are found in the college website (www.riyadh.edu.sa). The clinical competency certificate equally follows the guidelines, rules and regulations and requirements of Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The program requires a minimum of three years of study to finish all the clinical and thesis requirements. Residents must complete all clinical specialty requirements cases and courses a minimum of 24 credits, which includes credit of the following courses in:
In addition to the requirements outlines above, residents will complete a research project under the supervision of the advisor, and successfully write and defend a thesis. Residents will be encouraged to submit their thesis in the form of one or more manuscripts or published papers for the scientific literature in keeping with the current Graduate policies.
